WOUNDED WARRIOR CAREGIVER 5K
Saturday, October 1st - 9am

The family and friends of wounded soldiers often make deep personal and financial sacrifices to care for soldiers wounded in service to our nation.  They are the behind-the-scenes heroes.  This event will raise money for Operation Homefront to help caregivers who are struggling to care for our soldiers.

Thank you to all runners and sponsors of our race!!

This will be the 4th Annual 5K Run with the continuing objective of providing much needed funding for Operation Homefront's caregiver program.  This 501c(3) non-profit national organization exists to provide emergency financial and other assistance to families of service members and wounded warriors.  Operation Homefront also offers grants to meet the most basic needs as rent, utilities, food and housing.  Of the all the funds collected, 92 percent of Operation Homefront's expenditures go directly to programs that provide support to military families.

We are looking for sponsors for the 2016 race -- be it financial, in-kind, etc.  Last year we were fortunate to have over 35 very generous sponsors!!

      Race Information
This is a certified 5K run course, which begins and ends at Cameron Run State Park.  The course follows a traffic-free path along Cameron Run Trail and one perimeter of Ben Brenman Park lake.  It is primarily a flat course with the total elevation change of approximately 11 meters.   But the best part of this run is joining with the many wounded warriors and their caregivers as they celebrate their victories of completing the run.  .......and a good tune-up run for the Army 10-miler and/or Marine Corp Marathon!
